The Store Group charity fundraising campaign – “Hope for Childhood Cancer” in aid of University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) was held earlier from 15 October 2018 till 31 March 2019, collected a total amount of one hundred and thirteen thousand ringgit (RM113,000.00) during the campaign period. The cheque was presented by Mr. Winky Pek to Professor Dr. Hany Arrifin. “Thank you all the super heroes who contributed to support these children. We hope the fund will benefit to more children in Malaysia.” Mr. Winky said during his speech.
The Store Group once again to run a fund raising campaign with MyKasih Foundation, the campaign was kicked off since 1st April 2019 and will end by 30th September 2019. MyKasih food aid recipients are from low-income households earning a combined monthly household income of RM1,500 and below.Under the programme, recipients receive a cashless monthly allowance of RM80 through their MyKad account, which can be spent on approved essential food items.The success and efficiency of the MyKasih food-subsidy system have inspired The Store Group to continue supporting MyKasih Foundation Malaysia.
With the theme of “Sharing the joyous of Raya”, The Store Group held a charity iftar treated 60 persons of MyKasih families from MyKasih Foundation to enjoy a scrumptious dinner in conjunction with the month of Ramadan. In spreading the spirit of giving during this festive season, the children were presented with Hari Raya Gooddies Bag and Raya Packets.
